Late meditations on thankfulness:

…the small slice of blue sky I see every morning from bed after I put on my trifocals

…the first word out of my son or daughter’s mouth when we talk on the phone-always a total heart stopper

…sweet songs of the dozens of birds … I seriously believe they are talking only to me

…knowing that there is someone in my life who REALLY knows me and loves me anyway

…being able to love someone else that same way

…the ability to live my passion – writing it down every day and emptying my heart and refilling it right back up again with sweet words

…even with a few problems…my health (physical…the mental – you must catch me on a sane day!)

…the ability to laugh out loud almost every day – especially at myself

…the knowledge of the importance of forgiveness

…the treasure of remarkable friends

…a mother and father – still alive – who always make me feel loved and wanted…even when i am a jackass

…what i like to think is an open mind and heart…diversity makes my heart dance

…a recent reaffirmation on the importance of simplicity (i still owe you all a story about my NEW life…)

…the hard-earned ability to pause … even if i don’t do it enough

…an insane attraction to knowledge – even useless facts…and an extreme love of literature

…an insane attraction to wine – especially reds…and an extreme love of IPA beer…..

and that’s enough for one day – now I’m thirsty!
