people….please!!!!
I think we need to get a grip here on this health care reform business. First of all….take a breath. These meetings where everyone is flipping out are supposed to be opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, ask questions….you know? They are not supposed to be try-outs for wrestling teams.
Also – stop being so afraid. What gives with that? It’s been obvious for years and years that this country’s health care system is a mess. When someone like me puts off having yearly exams and tests and would rather limp than go see a doctor-something is not right.
Self-insurance these days is more like having a policy for something catastrophic. The deductibles are so damn high that calling it insurance is actually wrong. Millions of people don’t even have insurance. Costs for healthcare services are out of control-just look at your father’s medicare bill and prepare to faint. Every single time a free clinic opens up, like the one in Los Angeles this week, so many people show up there is no way even a fraction of them can get help.
This reform business is not a bad idea. Obama and his gang are trying to help. Nothing is set in stone.
I’m telling you to stop, look, listen and then say something. Because, ya know, if you are not careful you are going to get too excited, have a stroke or fall down….and then, unless you are now part of the lucky few who have a health insurance plan, what in the holy hell are you going to do?
Healthy exchange is part of the democratic process, too, by the way. I thought we were all smarter than this.
Take two doses of silence, check your blood pressure, and call someone who knows something in the morning.
