Life on the road……

Tonight we are in New Mexico.  Yesterday Arizona and California.  Tomorrow Texas. The day after whatever in the hell state is next….eventually…..four days max….Florida.

I am editing the last pages of the next book as we drive, monitoring the economy, calling “people”, keeping my mom and dad abreast, my grown babies, working with a web designer, working on the novel after the next one, writing poems, worried about my horrid travel diet, watching people as I pump gas, sick of thin sheets, wearing the same clothes….no lie….for a week, finally washed my hair, last night dreamed I was fishing with a net in Mexico and all the people had on funny pants, thinking about honest emotions, answering emails from $59 hotels and just before sunset….

Driving into New Mexico the colors of the sunset blending into the night sky….ribbons of red and orange and pink…..snow topped mountais…lines of sagebrush standing guard against the winter cold….hundreds of miles of light and rock and wind and life…..all I can think of are happy endings, hope, dreams on a string, all good things.

Even as my rear end hurts and tonight the sheets are still thin.

I have the sunset and there will be one tomorrow.

I just finished reading ancing Naked At The Edge Of Dawn and had to look you up on line. Luckily I had some how ended up with 2 copies of it because while waiting in the Dr’s office the other day I had left my other copy behind. At first I was upset and my impulse was to turn around and go fetch it, but knowing that I had nother copy safe at home, I left it, hoping & knowing that some other woman would find it and find the same delight and inspiration in the words that I did. My only hope is that when they are done they will pass it along to another sister.

I must say, sitting here in the frozen tundra of Michigan and listiening to the wind blow, I was a bit jealous reading of you being in Arizona and soon Texas. Both are states very dear to my heart.

There is nothing more beautiful then a sunset in the desert, and I couldn’t help but get a mental image of you dancing naked, arms out stretched, head back and smiling

May all your journeys be safe ones

Dry air, sun, thin sheets, sunsets!! Sure beats cold damp winds, snow and flannel!!
Have fun in the sun! While we can’t share the weather, at least we can celebrate the sun setting and rising yet again! Have fun!!
