People….it’s okay!!!
The world is in a panic because Tipper and Al are taking a bow as a couple and splitting up. Yesterday when this news was the flavor of the day I took delight in listening to all the experts go on and on about why this was happening. They forgot to call me-again.
Tipper is unhappy. Al is unhappy.
There you have it and to think I only have an undergraduate degree.
People stay in relationships all of the time for the wrong reasons. They stay for the kids, for the money, for the hurt they think it will cause others, for the sake of how it looks or doesn’t look. The list is endless. Really honest people, people who know that life is all about being happy and honest and true – they look in the mirror and realize they look like hell when they don’t smile.
This is good news. Tipper can now start up a rock band and get out her dusty drums. Al can fly down here to Florida and help us wipe off oil-soaked birds. Tipper doesn’t have to pretend she likes those big wet kisses. Al can finally date a brunette.
There – does everyone feel better now?

You hit the nail on the head! Thank God that they’ve figured it all out! And it only took 40 years! Wonder how long they hung in there for everyone?
