Contagious Happiness
The big news last weekend was a new study that proves happiness is contagious. For cying-out-loud already! I could have saved them lots of money and told them that years and years ago. The very first baby photo taken of me shows a little fat girl with blue eyes and her mouth open so wide it looks as if most of her head has disappeared. That was little Krissy Radish.
People who have personally been exposed to my laugh know what I am talking about here. I could hire myself out to warn ships, stop traffic, and threaten bad guys. Once when I was in college (about 100 years ago) and laughing outside of a huge lecture hall, three friends came rushing out because they knew who was producing the laugh.
Think about this. Don’t you just love it when you see people laughing and appearing happy? Sometimes when I hear someone laughing I just start up myself and can barely make it to a chair…and you know, we always have a choice about these things. We can be happy or sad but there ain’t much we can do about a snowstorm or traffic jams.
So throw out some big ones during these job losing, price falling, snow blowing, economic mess, no money, less holiday spirit times. Laughs are cheap, great for the stomach muscles, mood alterating bombs that can explode into the universe and literally change lives.
Imagine what would happen if we all did it at once?
I’m thinking 7 p.m. EST next Friday?
Let’er rip!!!!

Hi Kris,
I am sorry about your car, that is so unjust! It sounds as if you sometimes wish you were here in Wi ,actually Jackson-where we are getting white stuff dumped on us by the pound! I believe last count was 12inches and growing!
I know you gave me your email ,but I misplaced the address, but now I can at least reach you via blog–:)
I often wondered how Cali was treating you and somehow thought you would be in this beautiful ,crime free ,retreat writing away, but maybe that is coming? I will send you positive energy ,just as you send that energy out to your many readers!
My youngest daughter is moving to L.A. on December 27th, right after her graduation. I am proud of her for making her dream come true. She is searching out her bliss and for her that is in part California…….
Keep safe and Happy woman!
and enjoy the wine country to
the fullest!
Cheers,
Debra

ms kris , had you ever thought of how many ladies you bring smiles to with your writing, allowing them to just be themselves? to dream of what might be, of what should be???

Must have been a government study that came out about the benefit of laughter, LOL, how would we get by without those studies?
I enjoy my trips CA, but not so sure I would make it a permanent address. Perhaps Florida will prove to be your shangrila. Being a Minnesota girl I think New Mexico might be my option for a warmer climate. In two years time I plan to find out.
Enjoy the best of CA while you are there. I smile when I think of CA wines because I always think of the movie, Sideways…I happened to find that movie to be interesting human behavior wise, funny too. The wine education was an added bonus.
May thanks for all the good reads, Dancing Naked at the Edge of Dawn is still my favorite.
PEACE
